STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION ABOUT THE USE OF CODE-MIXING TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION SKILL IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE
ABSTRAK
Code-mixing is mixing of two or more languages in one sentence. The lack of English communication ability in students is a common problem. This study aimed to analyze students' perceptions of the use of code-mixing to improve students' communication skills in English Language course. This research is categorized as a qualitative research. The data collected through interviews. The participants of this study were 6 English students at UIN Gusdur Pekalongan. The data will be analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis technique by using narrative inquiry. The results of this study report that the use of code-mixing has a positive impact on improving students' communication skills in English Language courses.
